Hannie May is an actor and model based in Los Angeles, with local hire availability in New York City, working across narrative film, television, and commercial campaigns.

Performance has been part of Hannie’s life for as long as she can remember. She first found it through dance, where being on stage gave her a kind of freedom she didn’t really find anywhere else. At the time, she never thought of performing as a realistic career. It was simply the thing she kept coming back to.

She went on to study communication at a British academic college, following what felt like the sensible path toward a successful life. Somewhere along the way, though, she started wondering whether the sensible path was actually hers. Around the same time, she began working in print modeling and quickly fell in love with being in front of the camera. She was drawn to how much could be communicated through something as small as a look, a shift in energy, or a moment of stillness.

After two years at her first college, Hannie reached a point where ignoring that pull no longer made much sense. So she changed course, moved to Los Angeles on her own, and committed fully to acting.
